Lent Devotional - Day 8

Read John 4:39-54

What’s your story? The woman at the well’s testimony brought many to Jesus, then they had encounters of their own with Jesus and the numbers reached grew. They proclaimed: “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Saviour of the world.”

This is the place of spiritual maturity that we want to get to, where we don’t simply rely on the pastor or leader to tell us what Jesus is saying, but for each of us to go to Jesus and listen for ourselves. Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with you. He doesn’t want you to just be a friend of a friend. So what’s your story?
