Lent - Day 33
But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:8, ESV)
As sons and daughters of the Most High, it is imperative that we reflect His glory. We have to think like Him, perceive like Him, understand like Him, speak like Him, listen like Him, and love and exercise self-control like Him. Our timelines also have to go from finite to infinite.
God is not just God of the possible, but He is particularly the God of the impossible. In the Bible, God often chooses the old folks or if takes young ones then He really takes His time to mature them. We can not limit God and ourselves, by operating in what’s possible and what is probable. It is all about obedience to the Creator of the Heavens and Earth.
If He says He is going to do it then He is certainly going to do it. What He has set out to do with us, He will accomplish in due time. Let us be patient with both God and ourselves, and trust our loving Father that He will finish what He has set out to do in us. Let us then be bold and confident in Jesus and walk in faithful obedience.
