Lent - Day 39

And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,  (2 Peter 3:15, ESV)

We should never take the patience of God for granted, but be fully mindful that His patience and “slowness” to judge as contributing factors to our salvation. That when the Bible talks about God’s desire is that none should perish, it is true.

What’s amazing is that this is an encouragement that is endorsed by both Peter and Paul. So this is a trustworthy saying. Let’s then be encouraged to pursuit righteousness and holiness in the time that we have. Let us put away the deeds of darkness and live fully in the light.
