Lent - Day 5

For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (2 Peter 1:8, ESV)

One thing to note in our spiritual lives is that there is no neutral. We are called towards growth and increase. Although we don’t necessary control our direct fruitfulness of our lives, our fruitfulness is intimately tied to abiding in Jesus and his word.

God is good and He is fully committed to us, so let us be fully committed to Him.

Lord, let your love and goodness pursue us and overtake us. Amen.
