Lent - Day 8

For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  (2 Peter 1:11, ESV)

The Apostle Peter clearly links our growing maturity with salvation, so what must we do to be saved? In Acts 13:30, the jailer asked this question to Paul and Silas, to which they replied: Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.

Many fail to grasp that our belief in Jesus is not simply meant to mentally ascent to Jesus, but to live our lives after Him.

To believe in Jesus, requires us to respond to His love; to make every effort to allow His words and His Spirit to transform us according to his promises. Will you make effort today?
