Lent - Day 11

For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.  (2 Peter 1:16, ESV)

The Apostle Peter reminds us that our faith is passed down to us by eyewitnesses. This is an important truth because our relationship with God is all about personal experience and encounter with Him.

Christianity is not about following rules, and do’s and don’ts, but it is all about being in love with Jesus. Our love relationship with Jesus can only grow stronger as we have personal experiences with Him. As we practice listening, we must live in greater obedience.

This way, we too can become eyewitnesses of God and bear witness to His power at work in and around us.
