Lent - Day 27

that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles,  (2 Peter 3:2, ESV)

One of the key disciplines we all need to master is the knowing the words of God for ourselves. It doesn’t have to be exhaustive Bible study, but we should regularly be immersed in the scriptures over our lifetime that we know the words of God.

This will help us to know when certain prophecies are being fulfilled and allow us to understand the times and how late the hour it truly is. The Psalms are filled with notions of being in the word day and night and loving His words and these are written down for us not to simply admire those sentiments, but that we might take them as instructions and do likewise.

Knowing his words will help to shape our minds, our thoughts, and perspectives so that they align with His. There is no excuse for not knowing his words. Pray and ask that God would give us a love for His words.
