Lent - Day 29

They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”  (2 Peter 3:4, ESV)

This may be our temptation as well, wondering when the Lord’s return will be. But we must be aware that we are that much closer to His return than we ever were before. This is why it is so important that we are in His words and that we know the prophecies and understand the times.

When Jesus returns, He is not going return in obscurity or be found in some backwater town, but as the Bible says everyone know because it will be in His full glory and it will be a global event. History continues to unfold to prepare for His return. It will be good to keep our eyes on Israel, and the revealing of the Anti-Christ, as well the spiritual temperature all over the world.

We cannot live so consumed with our lives that we miss the signs of His return. We must be dressed, awake, and alert.
