Lent - Day 30

For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,  (2 Peter 3:5, ESV)

When we are wanting things our way, we easily and deliberately ignore what is right in order to feed the desires of our flesh. This will be the danger as we draw closer to the end of the age: every person will hear only what they want to hear and will bend the truth to their own evil desires.

It is vital that as believers our stance is that God is true and every person, including me is a liar. We do not know what is right, and how to live righteously. Only God can reveal to us how to live according to His words. We need to learn to ease up and trust in His timing and faithfulness. As He has given us of His Spirit, we need learn to walk in step with the Holy Spirit.

God loves us and has proven it through His Son Jesus, but will we love Him wholeheartedly and with the same measure.
